Matt McBryde, RKC

Matt refers to himself as a recovering "cardio junkie" who has competed in the past in numerous Triathlons, half-marathons, and marathons. In the late 90s, Matt took it upon himself to lose over 50 pounds and 7 inches off his waist line through training for distance events. Along the way, he realized the excessive wear and tear on his body from the hours of cardio training so he began to seek another way to stay fit and build strength. Through the discovery of kettlebell training and working with David Whitley, Senior RKC, Matt learned better ways to build strength and conditioning in a fraction of the time he was previously spending. Since 2007, Matt has been working with kettlebells, constantly working to refine his technique, learning from the top RKC Instructors in the world, and helping others discover the benefits of kettlebell training.
Kristen McBryde, RKC

With a passion for Kettlebells, finding optimal health, and getting the most of her body, Kristen wants to help others with their journey in finding the most effective use of exercise and proper nutrition. Growing up she played basketball, softball, and tennis enjoying being active and keeping exercise fun. However, after college, Kristen became a "gym rat", focusing on cardio first and only training for strength when she had additional time. After completing three half-marathons and numerous 5k and 10k runs, she found exercise as a time consuming activity that had become boring. Using Kettlebells has made exercise fun again and she incorporates strength training into every workout. In 2009, Kristen attained her RKC Certification and works with women of all ages at Tennessee Kettlebell. She has provided for women a path to truly being lean, fit, AND strong.
